Fauzia + Tom | Teddington Wedding Photographer | Documentary Wedding Photographer

Teddington Wedding Photographer and Documentary Wedding Photographer Mat Quake showcases a selection of reportage photographs from Tom and Fauzia’s Teddington Wedding. This wedding was special to me on many fronts. Not only had I warmed to Fauzia and Tom as soon as I met them but this was, surprisingly, the first wedding I had actually done on my doorstep in Teddington. I have photographed many weddings locally in Richmond, even as far as Egypt and many places in between, but never actually in Teddington. I met a very chilled Fauzia at the Ledbury, where she was getting ready with her bridesmaids. Having spent an hour or so with them I left for the ceremony at the chapel in St Mary’s University College.  After the ceremony we had planned on going down to Radnor Gardens for some outdoor photographs but, unfortunately, the weather wasn’t suitable (we would plan some outdoor shots in the coming weeks). The reception was held at Tom’s parents home, where a huge garden marquee, beautifully decorated (I will blog some shots of the decor in due course), was the setting for their wedding breakfast banquet and party. On arrival, Tom, Fauzia and I went into the house to do some bride and groom photographs. I found a quiet spot on the landing which I felt offered some good angles for some intimate photographs of them together. Whilst the weather had forced us indoors to take some pictures, it was actually quite nice to shoot in a space where Tom had grown up, which added a sentimental feel to the images that any other location would struggle to offer in the same way.  It was a lovely wedding, filled with some intimate and very funny moments. Whilst the weather was cold, damp and chilly, hearts and spirits a plenty were warmed by the coming together of close family and friends, and two people who are obviously very much in love and suited to eachother.  Very best wishes to Tom and Fauzia for the future.
